Introduction

Dear Colleagues,

The last DCR Census Report was published in 2017. Since then, we could see some important developments in the field in several countries. To address the gap in the up-to-date knowledge, Correlation-European Harm Reduction Network and the European Network of Drug Consumption Rooms are currently undertaking this assessment of drug consumption rooms (DCRs) in Europe, aiming to collect essential information on the existent European DCRs.

The survey contains questions related to the daily functioning of DCRs, target group(s), admission criteria, operation, capacity, range of services, human resources, the time of establishment and data collection. The completion of this survey will take you approximately 60 minutes.

The participation of your DCR will provide valuable information contributing to acquiring a comprehensive picture on how DCRs have been established and functioning in Europe, benefiting organisations worldwide that are planning to set up drug consumption rooms. Participation in this survey is voluntary.

Any identifiable information, such as your name and the name of your organisation/DCR, that is collected in connection with this study will remain confidential. All responses will be anonymised.

We are aiming to collect responses from every existent DCR in Europe. Should an organisation have more than one DCR, one representative of each DCR should fill out the survey concerning their own DCR. The deadline to submit the filled survey is the 15th of September

We plan to discuss/publish the results in a survey report. The results will be made available via our website.

If you have any questions about the survey or you would like to know more at any stage, please do not hesitate to contact C-EHRN Project Support Officer, Joana Moura, via jmoura@correlation-net.org.
