Dynamic Shear is a Test Method to quickly measure shear resistance by force rather than time and helps to get a better understanding of the adhesive’s chemistry.
Dynamic shear testing offers faster and more precise information of an adhesives ability to resist shear forces. It is preferably used for shear strength measurements where static shear testing takes too much time to get a result.
Dynamic shear testing is used by many tape manufacturers worldwide but no standardised test method is available yet.
Within the Afera Technical Committee we concluded that this test could be helpful and of interest for our members.
We therefore ask you to provide us your valuable feedback by just saying YES or NO for a Dynamic Shear Test Method development.
